Wedding Packages -Silver Photography
I feel very strongly that for far too long wedding photography has followed the same, traditional, format. This involved lots of posing and arranging and generally the photographer would, more or less, organise your wedding day. I on the other hand look upon your day, and my involvement in it, differently. You are not at your wedding to be a model for me – you are there to be married and to enjoy yourself. I simply photograph your whole day for you. I take pictures of whatever you are doing and of whoever, and whatever, is there on the day. I also appreciate that you may want some family group photographs and have absolutely no objection to arranging these shots with you. Your wedding photographs will capture you and your guests at their best and, when combined with romantic and beautiful photographs of yourselves, tell the story of your wedding day without taking up any of your time unnecessarily or disrupting your day.
In a nutshell, reportage, photojournalism and documentary styles of photography are all the same and really just describe a different method of working at a wedding whereby the emphasis is upon documenting your wedding rather than setting up all of the pictures. When I photograph a wedding there won’t be a long photoshoot and dozens of posed group photographs but you shouldn’t worry that you will miss out on important shots! I almost always do some family groups and also spend a short while photographing the bride and groom as well but this won’t disrupt your day and I will spend most of my time mingling with your family and your guests to photograph them that way instead. If you want any specific photographs you can even give me a list and I will ensure that those people are captured.
I am a member of the WPJA – a professional society of wedding photojournalists that promotes true reportage photography.
